Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the provision of shipping, freightforwarding, courier and logistics services provided by Shadz Freightline. By requesting or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

  1. Definitions

    Shipment: any goods, cargo,parcels or documents entrusted to the Company for transportation.

    Carrier: any third-party transportation provider (airline, shipping line, truck company etc.) engaged by the Company to transport shipments.

    Cosignee: the person or entity designated to receive the shipment.

    Shipper: the individual or entity requesting the shipping service.

  2. Scope of Services

    We provide sea freight, air freight, courier delivery and related logistics services; including customs clearance, storage, and delivery within Jamaica and internationally. All services are subject to operational capabilities, local and international regulations and applicable carrier polocies.

  3. Customer Responsibilities

    Customers MUST provide accurate and complete information, including correct descriptiom, weight, dimensions and declared value of all shipments.

    Customers are responsible for ensuring that shipments comply with all applicanle laws, regulations and import/export restrictions, both in Jamaica and destination country.

    Prohibited items, including but not limited to hazardous materials, illegal substances, live animals, firearms and pershiable goods, shall not be shipped without prior written approval.

  4. Rates and Payments Terms

    Rates are based on the information provided by the Customer and are subject to adjustment if actual shipment details differ.

    All charges must be paid in full prior to shipment dispatch, unless credit terms have been approved in writing.

    Additional charges may apply for:

    Storage

    Customs duties, taxes and brokerage fees

    Re-rounting, return to sender or other special handling requests

    Shipments requiring special handling or documentation

    Failure to pay charges when due may result in shipment delays or witholding of delivery

  5. Liability and Limitations

    The Company’s liability for loss, damage, or delay is limited to the lower of:

    USD100 per shipment or JMD equivalent or actual replacemnet cost.

Liability caps do not apply to shipments where the Customer has purchased declared value protection(cargo insurance) through the Company.

The company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, regardless of cause.

Delays, loss, or damage caused bt acts of God, customs delays, war, strikes, natural disasters or other force majeure events are outside the Company’s liability.

6. Insurance

Customers are encouraged to purchase cargo insurance to cover the full value of shipments.

Insurance is available upon request at an additional charge and must be confirmed in writing prior to shipment

7. Refund Policy

Payments made for shipping services are non-refundable once the shipment has been accepted and processing has begun.

Refunds for cancellation requests before shipment dispatch may be considered, subject to administrative fees.

No refund will be issued for shipments delayed or returned due to inaccurate information provided by the Customer or regulatory issues.

Refunds foe damage or loss are subject to our claims process (see Section8)

8. Claims Process

All claims for loss, damage, or delay must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery or expected delivery date:

Claims must be accompanied by:

Shipment documentation

Photographs (if applicable)

Proof of value (invoices receipts)

Any relevant correspondence

Failure to submit claims within the reuired period shall result in forfeiture of the claim.
